Lawn Mower Comparison

Lawn Mower Comparison: "Comparing Lawn Mower Types

There are several things to consider before you choose a new Lawn Mower.
There are hundreds of different lawn mowers on the market and the variety of types, sizes and price is enormous. You should think carefully before you buy and have a closer look at your lawn and your needs.
If you just moved into a home, you need to know how many square feet of lawn you have, cause most lawn mower recommendations are built on lawn size in square feet or acres when the lawn is bigger.
If you are replacing your old lawn mower, then you might have a good idea of what type is the best for you.
1. Take a good look at your lawn. Walk around and consider if there are any obstacles on the lawn. Trees, bushes, walls, stones and ponds. If you are thinking of an electric cord mower then trees and walls could make a problem.
Is the lawn smooth or uneven? Is it level or on a slope? Self-propelled mower is easier to use on slopes, but a push mower could be the best choose for an even lawn.
2. Take a critical look at yourself. Do you like the exercise of mowing or do you just see it as another work? Would you feel comfortable to change oil and spark plug on the mower or would you like to get rid of such work? If you don't like mowing and don't like maintenance work, then you should buy a good quality mower that does the job faster with less maintenence or even consider to hire a gardener to take care of the mowing.
3. How much are you ready to spend? Will you be living here in 5 years? Are you ready to spend more to get a quality mower or do you prefere less expensive but less reliable one. You get pretty much what you pay for when you buy a new lawn mower."

Lawn Mowers Reviews: Product Reviews Comparison Reports

Lawn Mowers Reviews: Product Reviews Comparison Reports: "Self-propelled. Reviews say the Honda HRX217HMA is the cream-of-the-crop. It has an overhead valve Honda engine, electric starter, rear-wheel drive with hydrostatic-drive, variable speed and cruise control. The Honda has more convenience features than other mowers. It bags, mulches and has side-discharge capability. The blade brake lets you stop the blade without cutting the motor so you can empty the bag without having to restart the engine. Although it's more expensive than others, the Honda is the best self-propelled mower. However, the Toro (below) performs nearly as well in tests, but with fewer features. "

How do I prepare my lawn mower in the spring?

How do I prepare my lawn mower in the spring?

If you didn't drain the gas tank last fall then you should replace the gas. Gas that is older than a month has lost some of it's energy and can lead to problems with the engine.

Change the engine oil. Find the drain plug and drain the oil to a container, replace it with clean SAE-30 engine oil. Check the owners manual for oil recommendations. Oil should be changed at least once a year.

Internet connection

Hello

I have had some nasty Internet connection problems since yesterday. I can use part of the net for the moment, but my mail connection is still down and my Eudora doesn't get any mail from the server.

This is just temporary I know but I'm working on a second connection.

Best regards
Bjorgvin
